  • Store pills, tablets, or cream
  • Repackage larger containers
  • Take only what you need
  • Ideal for ibuprofen, toothpaste tablets, anti-chafe balm, or tinder

Hinge-Top Containers are for storing pills, tablets, cream, or small objects. Use them to repackage larger containers so you take only what you need on your trip. No sense taking a large container of something and only using a little bit.

These containers are available in two diameters  1.25 & 1.5 in. (31.8 & 38.1 mm). The smallest 1.25 in./0.05 oz (31.8 mm/1.5 ml) containers are perfect for storing a few ibuprofen or toothpaste tablets. The larger containers work well for tablets, creams, such as anti-chafe balm, or small objects, such as tinder or ear plugs. The containers are translucent so you can see there’s something in it and how much is left. Be sure to mark the container with what’s inside using a permanent marker, tape, or label.

The cap is attached so you can’t lose it and snaps shut so it won’t leak in your pack.

    Perfect size for pills

Posted by Karl Sauerbrey on 6th Jan 2022

Ever since starting to section hike the AT in '13, I've been looking for the right size containers to separate my ibupro from antacid pills. Now I finally found it. Litesmith knows exactly what to provide that nobody else does! These containers are also good for wrapping a little floss, fitting some shaved deodorant, etc. for 1-2 wk hikers!

    Prefect Fit

Bought two. Both are the perfect size for what I bought them for which is to carry small amounts of first aid cream vs a whole tube.

Nice for meds or lip balm

Posted by Tim S. on 4th Jan 2020

Don’t haul a huge bottle! Only take what you need and this container let’s you do that. Easy to open with the tabs on the sides. Use the scale on the site to gauge what size you need. Be aware that some meds are larger than others depending on dosage. Vitamin I in 200mg is smaller than 800mg prescription strength. I packed one of these full of Vaseline for lip balm and as a fire starter (wipe a cotton ball in the Vaseline and light).

perfect lightweight option for storing my medications, foot powder, earplugs if needed. Could be used for lots of other things, too. Good selection of sizes.

    Difficult to find item

Posted by John Conley on 16th Oct 2018

I have had these small containers in the past, but recently they've been impossible to find for sale in anything but large bulk quantities. I went on the Litesmith site to order something else and discovered these. I promptly bought some in several sizes. They're great for any number of uses and I'm glad to have finally found a source.
