  • Loudest handheld whistle in the world, 128 dB
  • Ergonomic shape, easy to grip
  • Performs in all conditions

The Storm® Whistle is the loudest handheld whistle in the world producing an incredible 128 dB sound that will certainly attract attention. In field test after test, this whistle consistently beats all others for distance the sound carries. The unique shape is easy to grip so you won’t tire as quickly when you’re injured or cold and seeking rescue. The long rectangular mouthpiece seals well in your lips and is easy to grip hands-free in your mouth if you’re injured or tired. This whistle is very loud, so cover your ears.

The Storm utilizes a patented harmonic resonance dual-chamber design where high and low frequencies are focused into an extremely loud single frequency with double the standard amplitude. The result is a clear, high frequency sound with a deeper, more powerful tone that’s significantly louder and more easily heard than other safety whistles. A pea in the upper chamber results in a trill sound that is unmistakable from anything else in nature.

This whistle performs in all conditions. Even noisy howling wind is no match. It can be heard on land up to 0.5 mile (0.8 km), over water up to 1 mile (1.6 km), and even underwater up to 50 ft (15 m). While most whistles struggle to make a sound after surfacing from under water, Storm’s water purging design clears like a champ. And the high-impact, non-corroding, thermoplastic housing can be used safely in the cold.

The best whistle is the one you have on you when you need it. While it may be too bulky for some pockets, this whistle has a split ring to easily attach to your pack, clothing, lanyard, or keychain. True, the shape may be different, but this is the whistle you want when being heard is a matter of life and death.

Storm is SOLAS Coast Guard approved and has been adopted by military, police/security forces, and search & rescue teams worldwide. Made in USA.

    IT IS SO LOUD

Posted by Hiker. on 1st May 2021

So loud! Loudest whistle I've ever tested. No experience as an astronaut yet, but I bet they hear you from space. But seriously, don't pack a bad whistle if you're off hiking in a remote place. Don't pack one only a dog 10 feet away would appreciate. Don't rely on shouting if you fall down a ravine or get lost. Don't pack those dumb little 1g whistles that come attached to your running bag. It's like a glorified zipper pull..! This thing is SO LOUD you should also pop in some ear plugs (also a key kit item for any camping trip!) before you blow this, otherwise you might not hear the rescue teams on their way. OUCH so loud. This is probably the thing in your bag most likely to save your life.
