Using trekking poles in the backcountry, intense sun has burned the back of our hands more than once. Although we apply sunscreen in the morning, we often forget to reapply throughout the day as sweat carries the UV protection away. To prevent rapidly aging sun damaged skin and skin cancer later in life, it’s important to cover up now and not wait until you're over 40 and begin noticing the damage. We often forget about our hands as one of the most exposed areas of our body.

PalmFree™ Ultralight Sun Gloves provide UPF50+ protection blocking 98% of the damaging UV rays. The fabric is lightweight and breathable so you may forget you’re even wearing them. They are not only fingerless, but palmless so you have the full sensitivity, dexterity, and tactility of your hands and allow them to release heat and sweat naturally. These Ultralight Sun Gloves are 35% lighter than the classic PalmFree Sun Gloves.

The design is simple and comfortable; just line up your thumb with the larger finger hole, slide the glove over your wrist, loop it over your thumb and pinkie, and you’re good to go. No ill-fitting fabric between your palm and your trekking pole grip, no cumbersome cord loops around your fingers, and no goofy-looking design. Easy on and easy off with no Velcro to stick to your clothes.
