BRS-3000T is a compact, ultralight canister stove that excels at boiling water in small pots. The appeal of the 3000T – crazy light and tiny size at a budget price. It fits inside small pots for day hikes, weekenders, or even thru hikes. Also a great backup stove, if needed.
A small circular vortex is created from the directed jets when in use. The flame pattern is quite narrow, so this stove is more suited to boiling water rather than cooking or simmering. 3000T is not as wind resistant as the SOTO Windmaster so a windscreen or sheltered spot may be necessary to keep boil time and fuel usage low.
This no-frills stove has an O-ring valve system that’s non-regulated. There is no piezo igniter built-in so a lighter or ferrocerium rod will be needed to light the stove.
The 3-prong pot supports easily fold down into a very compact package for stowing in the drawstring storage bag included. The smaller 3.14 in. (79.8 mm) pot support diameter offers stable support for small cups/pots (such as TOAKS 450, 550, 650, 750 ml). Care should be taken to center the pot.
