MICROspikes® Ghost replace steel chains with an abrasion-resistant thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) matrix, an ultra-tough material that cuts bulk without compromising strength. Twelve heat-treated stainless-steel spikes deliver aggressive grip, while a hybrid elastomer harness sheds ounces and balances stretch and structure for a secure fit.
Ghost Spikes are an ultralight upgrade to the classic MICROspikes design. They give you secure traction to safely cross smaller snow fields and icy trails with muddy conditions. Tackle planned and unforeseen conditions while still packing ultralight. At just 6.8 oz (192 g) per pair, they’re 21% lighter than Chainsen Light and 43% lighter than MICROspikes.
12 spikes per foot, 8 in the forefoot and 4 in the heel, provide great traction across snow and ice. The 0.43 in. (11 mm) long spikes are made of heat-treated 400 series stainless steel for high durability and corrosion resistance. The independent spike groups are connected by an abrasion-resistant TPU matrix to reduce weight without sacrificing durability. Articulating rivets allow the spikes to move independently to improve grip on uneven terrain and minimize snow buildup.
Ghost Spikes are just 3% lighter than Chainsen Trail but the spikes are longer. Chainsen Light would be a better choice for crossing lots of large snow fields because the spikes are even longer. The tradeoff is between spike length and weight.

A Hybrid Elastomer Harness features stiffer red thermoplastic rubber (TPR) at the toe for security and stretchy black thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) at the heel for a snug, lightweight fit. Easier to put on than chain designs, just loop over your toe box and stretch around your heel. Reinforced TPR Eyelets embedded at harness connection points strengthen key stress areas for long-term reliability. Ghost Spikes were designed to fit trail runners and light hikers.
Ghost Spikes are stored in a ripstop nylon stuff sack to protect your other ultralight gear.

Care: Wash with lukewarm water and air-dry (do NOT dry with heat). Ensure the product is clean and dry before storage. Inspect device before each use and remove it from footwear between uses.
