The OG LST was revolutionary back in the 1980s. This modern LST Mini has the bones of the original with the same great balance of performance and cost. An EDC for many over the years, it’s a perfect choice for everyday tasks. And just 0.48 oz (13.6 g) makes it ideal for backpacking.
The blade is stonewashed 440A stainless steel (54-57 HRC) that’s corrosion resistant and easy to sharpen. A modified plain edge Wharncliffe blade with a generous thumbhole for easier opening. A sharpening choil (small notch) on the inside end of the blade lets you sharpen to the very end of the blade without hitting the handle.
Opening and closing action is smooth and secure but does require two hands. Depress the blade lock on the back of the handle with your thumb to close.
The lightweight glass-filled nylon (GFN) handle has a large diamond pattern providing improved grip. It has a lanyard hole on the end of the handle, but no pocket clip. A grab tab lanyard helps when pulling out of your pocket. The lanyard can be removed for a more compact, lighter knife.
