Best Shock cord in small diameter I can find!

Wanted to add shock cord to the front of my Kakwa 55 and the orange 2mm was the perfect size and splash of color I wanted. Paired it with a micro cord lock for easy adjusting.

I wasn't sure if I'd received the correct diameter that I'd ordered, so after a quick phone call Litesmith mailed me a small piece if each of the 3 diameters just to confirm that I'd received the correct product.

This shock cord came neatly packed in the mail and the first thing I noticed was the vibrant neon orange color. Along with a robust outer sheathing and high-tension elastic, I think this cordage will serve me well on my backpacking adventures.

Nice, consistent and tightly woven sheathing around elastic that seems to have no memory and good snap back. Can’t speak to how it will hold up over time but, based on past experience, it feels like will do well over the long haul. Will definitely buy again.

used this to fix a couple of sagging poles

Used this shock cord to re-string some old tent poles. Worked well, and the cord seems to be of good quality. Only time will tell really.

As described. Makes for great bivy tieouts or silnylon shelter tensioners so there's no sag overnight. Takes a flame well to keep the ends from fraying.

I ordered this to fix the overstretched, worn out cord in my REI backpacking tent poles. It shipped fast and it was easy to replace the worn out cord with this new cord.

Awesome that Litesmith will sell this to you by the foot so I don't have to buy a whole butt-load of this stuff if all I wanted was a couple feet! I already had a Nitecore NU25. I fashioned my own ultralight band out of a couple feet of this stuff and a mini cordlock. Like $2 worth of materials!

Great colors and reflective too! I wanted to find shock cord in my kids favorite colors to help ID their kit as well as help them lighten their packs a bit. This cord is thin but strong enough to do the job. Great stuff!

Placed an order for a few myog projects (1.6 and 2 mm diameters) - they worked great! The cord is firm and durable, a little bit stretchy as you expect from shock cord, but it doesn't deform or stretch out permanently. Also, both diameters were compatible with the mini cord locks sold on this site, which was convenient.

I bought this shockcord for a daypack I made for my wife. She wanted a Bahama blue X-Pac pack which I put daisy chains on. I used the blue reflective shockcord in the daisy chains to give her some bling, but also from a practical perspective to have additional capacity for raingear, hiking poles, etc., and visibility at night. The shockcord is essentially shockcord, same functionality. The difference is the tracers which light up very well from a headlamp. So plenty of pack applications for this shockcord. I'd say it would also work very well for an underquilt suspension and making your hammock camp more visible/easy to locate at night.

I really like this shock cord. The colors and reflectivity make the cord usable for a variety of projects. A great alternative to the plain black that I have on several tents. I'm using this cord primarily to make a bunch of bungee straps for cables, camping gear, etc.

This is good stuff. I got the 3/32" which is perfect for re-stringing most tent poles and is sometimes hard to find. Nobody really needs color or reflective strips for tent poles, but I got the red instead of plain black...looks great and really is high quality shock cord. Definitely very reflective, too. Will reorder for the next set of poles and get some of the 1/16" for use on the ground sheet and net tent I sometimes add under my tarp.

I use shock cord for many things and needless to say I'm pleased to find this stuff. What an improvement over the basic black. Easy to see, hard to lose. Thanks for "reinventing the wheel."
