Nylofume® Pack Liner Bags are fully waterproof to keep your gear dry. They’re made from a special nylon film that's also an odor resistant barrier to help keep your food and smellables under bear radar. Originally made to protect food and medicine during home fumigations, these bags make great backpack liners.
Nylofume bags have been known to last on thru hikes and are found tougher than trash compactor bags which eventually develop pinholes. And they’re lighter at just 0.91 oz (25.9 g).
The material is clear to help you see where things are inside. To seal, simply twist, fold over, and use a bungee strap or rubber band. Or for a loose seal just fold over several times. They measure 20 x 37 in. (50.8 x 94 cm) and fit most lightweight backpacks, but the length can be cut down if necessary. Use one for all your gear or two to separate your sleeping bag/quilt and clothes from your food/smellables and wet gear.

These do the job and seem very strong. They don’t have any stretch like garbage bags.

I bought these liners for backpacking thinking I would give them a try , I was surprised how much lighter and truly stronger than the compactor bags I was using . Lol never thought I’d write a review for a damn bag lol

Bought a 3 pack last year and hiked 17 days on the Appalachian trail in GA and NC. Replaced the first bag after 10 days when I tore a hole in it with a tent pole. Still have one bag left. They weigh almost nothing (1oz/29g) but are very durable. I carried a second one just in case. They make a crinkly sound like a potato chip bag but it's not as noticeable after a couple days use. Much better than a trash compactor liner for keeping gear dry. Bought another 3 pack for this year.

I haven’t tried this yet but it’s light and fits my sleeping pad and bag perfectly and will definitely keep everything dry

I originally bought just one and used it for a few overnights, nothing crazy and it worked out fine. Then i did a 14 day section hike of the AT and it somehow got two, 1/2 inch punctures in the mid bag. I'm still trying to figure out how that happened b/c all the reviews I've seen and usage reports from other hikers say these bags are practically indestructible. The only thing that i think it maybe could have been from is a rub mark on the dry bag latch that i use to keep my quilt and clothing in as thats the only thing in my pack that even has edges. If not that, maybe something in my front meshy pocket but i dont keep sharp objects in there either. I really have no idea.
Regardless, i just bought 3 more. At the end of the day, they cost 2.50 so i'm not too concerned. More just mystified how my first one developed holes.

I bought a three pack and the first bag was still keeping things dry after 10 days and nights on the Appalachian Trail and it rained every day! I had a 50 liter pack and the bag held all my clothes and sleeping gear. I like that they are lightweight and inexpensive. One reviewer complained about the crinkly noise (like a potato chip bag) which is true but the more I used the bag the less crinkly it sounded. On the last day of hiking I tore a hole in it with the backpack zipper. I put a piece of duct tape over the hole and used that same bag for six more days of AT hiking a few weeks later (only rained every other day on that trip). They work great!
