    • Fully waterproof
    • Odor resistant barrier
    • Tougher than compactor bags
    • Ultralight – 0.91 oz (25.9 g)

Nylofume® Pack Liner Bags are fully waterproof to keep your gear dry. They’re made from a special nylon film that's also an odor resistant barrier to help keep your food and smellables under bear radar. Originally made to protect food and medicine during home fumigations, these bags make great backpack liners.

Nylofume bags have been known to last on thru hikes and are found tougher than trash compactor bags which eventually develop pinholes. And they’re lighter at just 0.91 oz (25.9 g).

The material is clear to help you see where things are inside. To seal, simply twist, fold over, and use a bungee strap or rubber band. Or for a loose seal just fold over several times. They measure 20 x 37 in. (50.8 x 94 cm) and fit most lightweight backpacks, but the length can be cut down if necessary. Use one for all your gear or two to separate your sleeping bag/quilt and clothes from your food/smellables and wet gear.

    1. Light weight and durable star rating

These pack liners are a game changer for me. They are light, durable, thin, and, most importantly, very water resistant. They are also clear, which is a big benefit for me as it makes it easier to see the contents of my pack. I use one of these for my 48L pack and another one for my small day pack, which I cut into a smaller size to better fit the small pack.

Very happy with this product. It is light weight and does not tear easily.

    6. light, good size, loud star rating

Mine clocks in at 1.1 oz. Fits my 60L mariposa perfectly. The crinkle noise is LOUD. Thankfully it's only noisy when packing and unpacking, and not walking (at least for me).

Extremely light weight and durable compared to a trash bag. My new go to pack liner!

    8. Excellent product star rating

I've used compactor bags for many years as pack liners. They are very tough and inexpensive. Recently I read about the Nylofume bags and how they were even tougher (though that is yet to be seen when compactor bags last for years!) and lighter (they are about an ounce lighter), so I thought I'd give them a try. I've only used them on one trip so far, but they worked great for compressing and protecting my down gear. Since they have odor resistant properties, I'll probably give them a try to line my bear bag as well. If there is one downside, it's that they make a crinkly sound like a chip bag. However, I didn't notice it once they were in my pack. The only reason they get four stars instead of five is that their longevity isn't proven yet.

I use these bags to protect my equipment in my backpack as well as in my bear canister

These do the job and seem very strong. They don’t have any stretch like garbage bags.
