Regardless of where you hike, anything you set on the ground is likely to get wet, dirty, muddy, dusty, or sticky with pine needles. No one wants to put that back in their pot or pack. Nothing against dirt but sometimes it’s nice to get your kitchen off the ground. It’s also rare to find a campsite with a flat rock and setting your stove or mug on log is an invitation for disaster.
At just 2.3 oz (65 g), the Ultralight Folding Table provides a clean, flat surface, up off the ground, for preparing and enjoying backcountry meals. The 8 x 12 in. (20.3 x 30.5 cm) surface sits 3.25 in. (8.3 cm) high and is sized to fit a canister stove, bowl, coffee mug, and utensils. It even straddles a log to provide a higher working surface.
The Ultralight Folding Table is made from food-grade corrugated plastic sheet (construction similar to cardboard) that’s strong, durable, heat resistant, and easily wipes clean. The innovative, one-piece design easily unfolds and secures with hook-and-loop fasteners. Simple to build and no extra parts to lose. Both ends of the table have high-intensity micro-prismatic reflective tape, providing a reflective beacon to help you find your way back to camp in the dark.
It folds flat and compact to fit in the side or back pocket of your pack. Snaps hold the folded table together so there’s no need for a stuff sack. As a bonus, two or more tables can snap together to form a larger working surface. Perfect for group meals or a card game.
With a melting temperature of 324°F (162°C), it’s impervious to spilled boiling water, but be careful putting a pot straight off the stove on the table. The maximum recommended load is 10 lb (4.5 kg), so night stand – sure, chair – not a good idea. Made in USA.

I love this table! If I had known that they snapped together I would have ordered more than one! As it is it’s a great little lightweight table that takes up minimal room. It’s easy to set up/break down. Definitely worth it, get one.

Super light and quick to set up. Table is small, but that’s mentioned in the dimensions. It has to be small to be light! I like cooking on this.

I love this table, I buy them and give at least one away each year... I should be a sales man. I usually go backpacking with a very large group of teenagers, they can’t afford much and this table is in the reach of everyone. We sometimes put two together to play cards.

This is a luxury item that is very helpful in the backcountry. I’ve used it for food prep and even as a wind shield for my alcohol stove in alpine conditions. It packs small and is very light weight. My girlfriend won’t go camping without it.

Great to have a flat and sturdy surface to work on when out in the wild.

I saw this table featured on Garage Grown Gear. What a clever idea. I would have bought one right away, but the first batch sold out quickly. When more were produced, I ordered one. O.K. why do you need to carry something like this to add weight. Well it is really only 2.3 oz. and it is so handy in giving you a clean surface for your kitchen or whatever. Plus if your friends carry them as well, they snap together to make a table as wide as you like for playing cards or whatever in the rain. You need one, if only to reward the creators for their concept.
