Laser ADJ Trekking Poles blend lightweight with rigidity, strength, and durability in a compact folding design for demanding hikes where easier pack storage is critical. The aluminum shaft is made up of 4 segments that have been optimized for superior durability. A polyamide-coated stainless-steel cable joins the segments and shaped segment connections make assembly quick and easy. Simply extend the third segment, inserting the lower segment into the third, until the push-button lock snaps in place. Then open the fast and secure flip-lock lever on the upper segment to extend the segment. The upper segment features graduated adjustment markings for consistently setting your perfect length from 115 to 135 cm (ADJ). Tension of the flip lock can be easily adjusted for no-slip performance without the use of tools. The perceived swing weight of Laser ADJ feels lighter because the adjustments are closer to the grip and not near the end of the pole. 

The double-length dense foam grip is ergonomically designed to fit and support your hand. Grab below the grip on steeper inclines to effectively shorten the pole without making a length adjustment. Foam extends to the top with soft edges for a very comfortable thumb- or palm-top grip. The soft nylon wrist strap is easily adjustable by simply pulling on the strap. The straps are labelled L for left and R for right. Put on the strap by coming up from the bottom. When worn properly, there will be strap between your hand and the grip. Use the straps as you climb for increased leverage without a tight grip. On flat sections, you may want to take your hands out of the straps for a freer flowing grip that supports the cadence.

Hard carbide tips bite into the terrain for solid pole plants. Rubber tip protectors are included for use on paved surfaces. Dart baskets are installed as standard and keep the poles from getting caught in cracks between rocks. They can be removed for those wanting to go even lighter. Both small baskets and larger snow baskets are also included. The snow baskets can be installed without removing the small baskets.

Two versions are available – ADJ and ADJ-W. The W version is designed for smaller people. The adjustable length and collapsed length are shorter and therefore these poles are lighter weight. And the grips are sized for smaller hands. Otherwise, the W version is the same as ADJ.
