JoGo™ is a simple way to brew and enjoy great coffee or tea with minimal gear and zero waste. Drop a scoop of your favorite ground coffee in your cup, add hot water, pop in your JoGo, and enjoy robust French press-style coffee with the ease of instant. Roughly the size of a pencil, JoGo easily slips in your pack. And at just 1.1 oz (31 g), it’s lightweight too.
JoGo was inspired by the bombilla created by the Guarani people in present-day Argentina, a simple straight tube made from the Taquara plant to drink Yerba Mate loose-leaf tea. Metal bombillas were developed in the 17th and 18th centuries and later adopted by the legendary Argentinian Gauchos (cowboys) and is widely used in many regions of South America today. JoGo brings this sustainable Yerba Mate brewing method to the often-wasteful world of coffee.
JoGo is built to last with durable, food-grade stainless steel. A fine micron-metal mesh filter allows the brewed coffee or tea through while keeping the grounds or leaves in the cup. The filter unscrews for easy cleaning. The drinking end has an ergonomic angled design for comfortable sipping from a natural position. A BPA-free silicone drinking tip diffuses the temperature, so you won’t burn your lips.
The flavor profile resembles that of a robust French press-style coffee, but without the bulky brewer or hassle needed to clean it. The extraction process is like cowboy coffee, where you can use different variables to control the rate, such as brewing at a slightly cooler temperature or using a coarser grind. However, unlike cowboy coffee, you won't need an extra pot to make it or get any grounds in your mouth.
JoGo brings coffee back to its roots and allows you to enjoy the full journey of the beans in your cup. Simple, no waste, no hassle.
Easy to Use
- For each 5 oz cup, add 1 rounded tbsp of medium to coarse ground coffee to your cup.
- Pour hot water (not boiling) into your cup and stir with the JoGo.
- Let coffee brew and cool for at least 4 minutes until preferred strength and temperature is reached.
- Add powdered milk or sweetener if you’d like. Take a small test sip, then enjoy.
Clean-up is Simple
- Unscrew the filter.
- Use the included brush to clean the straw and filter with soap and water. The silicone tip can be removed as needed. JoGo is dishwasher safe.
- Pack out or bury the grounds left in your cup.
