The Stash™ Pocket Saw is a compact hand saw with a high-quality aggressive blade designed to help you quickly build fire and shelter. The ergonomic handle fits comfortably in either hand and has a textured surface with thumb ridges for solid grip. The saw weighs just 0.88 oz (25 g) and is less than 5.12 in. (13 cm) long to easily stash in your pack.
The superior-quality blade extends 3.65 in. (9.3 cm) and is Swiss-made by Bosch of high carbon steel. This particular T-shank blade is longer than most jig saw blades providing a larger stroke for a quicker cut. A combination of sharp 8+12 TPI teeth aggressively cut through wood, plastic, bone, or even ice. Unscrew the cap and sheathe the blade inside the handle for safe storage. No blade cover to lose. The bright orange cap also helps you keep track of the saw when lying on the ground.
Instructions
- The handle works with most T-shank jig saw blades.
- Four blade holders are provided. Three have a centered blade slot and are labeled S/M/L, each for a different blade thickness. Use the blade holder where your blade mounts flush with the holder. The fourth has an offset blade slot to accommodate blades where the teeth protrude more to one side. The Bosch T234X blade installed uses the offset L blade holder.
- Put the blade T-shank in the blade holder then insert the blade/blade holder into the handle, making sure the blade teeth are properly oriented to how the handle is held.
- Slide the cap over the blade and screw it down to lock the blade in the handle.
- For safe storage, unscrew and remove the cap, take out the blade/blade holder, flip it around and slide the blade into the handle. Screw on the cap to lock it in place.
